Newly Married Actress Penélope Cruz Is Pregnant

36 year old Penélope Cruz has announced that she is 4 1/2 months pregnant. She and her husband, actor Javier Bardem, married in June of 2010 and are expecting their first child to be born in March of 2011.

Cruz is currently working on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. It is the fourth installment for Pirates, but the first of the films that Cruz has worked on. She has won multiple Oscars for her film performances. Bardem, who recently won an Academy Award for her performance in No Country for Old Men, is 41 and this is also a first child for him.

Bardem and Cruz met on the set of  Jamón, jamón in 1992, but they did not begin dating until 2007 when they were both filming Woody Allen's Vicky Christina Barcelona.

It has not been announced whether their child is a boy or a girl.
