Billy Ray Cyrus and Wife, Tish File for Divorce
Billy Ray Cyrus, who is best known for his 1992 hit "Achy Breaky Heart," and for his role as Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus' dad, has filed for divorce from his wife, Tish.
The Cyrus' had been married for 17 years and they have 3 children together. Tish also has 2 children from a previous marriage, although neither are minors. Billy Ray cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. According to sources, the split was a long time coming and is mutual.
They have already arranged a parenting plan that they are hoping the court will approve of. Billy Ray is asking for joint custody of their three minor children, as well as equitable distribution of the marital estate. It has not been reported whether the couple had a premarital agreement.
