Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner Engaged at 84
Hugh Hefner, who is often referred to as the nation's most famous bachelor, is engaged for the third time in his life. He was previously married in 1949 and divorced in 1959, and then married again in 1989 to a Playmate of the Year, Kimberly Conrad. Conrad and Hefner were separated for 11 years before divorcing; she wanted to wait until the children were grown. Their divorce came shortly after the youngest child's 18th birthday in March. Since the children are adults, there should not be any child custody disputes.
The octogenarian is notorious for his love of young blond women; his new squeeze is no
different. 24 year old Crystal Harris is the woman this time. Many are surprised by the engagement because of his long-time, live-in ex-girlfriend Holly Madison, who said for years that she wanted to marry him. They split up not long before his divorce. Given Hefner's age, it is unlikely that he will have many more wives, though given the length of the average Hollywood relationship, it is possible. Reports say that he will have an iron-clad prenuptial agreement with Harris.
