NC State Quarterback Russell Wilson is Engaged

Russell Wilson, N.C. State quarterback, proposed to his girlfriend Ashton Meem on Sunday, and she accepted. The two have known each other since high school in Richmond, Virginia, and both attended N.C. State.

Wilson is N.C. State's quarterback and is returning in the fall as a junior. He has spent the season playing short season Class A minor league baseball, but says that he is ready for football practice, which begins today. He has been reviewing his playbook, lifting weights, and practicing with friends in order to get back in shape. His post-college goal is to play major league baseball and football in the NFL.

As of yet, the happy couple has not set a wedding date.
