Michael Douglas' ex-wife, Diandra Douglas, is claiming that the terms of their divorce agreement means that she is owed money from his film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. According to her lawyer, when they divorced in 2000, she was entitled to a percentage of any money that he made from spin offs related to films or roles he had while they were married. Gordon Gecko, the character that Michael Douglas play in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, is the same character that he played in the 1987 Wall Street.
The two were married from 1977 to 2000. Michael Douglas is now married to Catherine Zeta Jones. Michael Douglas' lawyer has stated that Diandra Douglas had not properly understood the terms of the divorce, and that she should 'move on.'
Michael Douglas has recently found out that he has a cancerous throat tumor. He is being treated for it and is expected to recover.
